It was a blind date from Hell, that's what it was for me. "Gimme three steps," is what I said. Good God, set me free. I don't know which one was worse, her bark or her bite. But I had to keep grinning 'til I could get her safely out of sight. It started out so innocent, I answered her ad. Five foot seven, looking for fun! It didn't sound to bad. I called her up on the telephone, and the hours, they flew by. Then I went to pick her up at eight one night, and said "Why? Tell me why?" It was a blind date from Hell, that's what it was for me. "Gimme three steps," is what I said. Good God, set me free. I don't know which one was worse, her bark or her bite. But I had to keep grinning 'til I could get her safely out of sight. She was five foot seven, like she said. But it was side to side. She put me in a head lock, pulled me up close and said, "Let's go for a ride. "I'm a motorcycle mama, my Hog's all set." And out the door we went. In all the hours in all the bars, those were the worst I've spent. It was a blind date from Hell, that's what it was for me. "Gimme three steps," is what I said. Good God, set me free. I don't know which one was worse, her bark or her bite. But I had to keep grinning 'til I could get her safely out of sight. She told me her life story. A sad one, plain to see, Then all about her lovers. I quit counting at sixty three. When through the door a man came in with a gun in his hand, He said, "I've had it Linda Lue with your runnin 'round, it's time to make a stand." It was a blind date from Hell, that's what it was for me. "Gimme three steps," is what I said. Good God, set me free. I don't know which one was worse, her bark or her bite. But I had to keep grinning 'til I could get her safely out of sight.
