Paying My Dues Tonight

Well, I'm going down to the Dew Drop Inn, for a sight that's seldom seen
I'll investigate that old liquor business. Check out old Jim Beam.
Find out what makes George Dickel tick, behind those neon lights.
'Cause my baby done left and I'm feeling blue. Gotta get drunk tonight.

I'll listen to that old Honky Tonk music while I drink my blues away.
And I know I'll feel worse tomorrow morning, but I'm gonna do it anyway.
'Cause there's just some things that a man's gotta do when he gets to feeling right.
Tomorrow afternoon, I know I'll feel better, gotta pay my dues tonight.

Country Music's playing on the jukebox,
	The waitress brings the beer.
Sitting here in this smoky old barroom,
	Soaking up the atmosphere.

So I'm going down to the Dew Drop Inn, 'cause I'm gonna get drunk tonight.
Drink my baby clean out of my system, maybe get into a fight.
Sing along with those old sad songs, in my fancy cowboy hat.
I gotta get drunk, so I can feel much better, and you just can't argue with that.

Country Music's playing on the jukebox,
	The waitress brings the beer.
Sitting here in this smoky old barroom,
	Soaking up the atmosphere.
